Free Apple TV Plus Trial 2026

Apple TV Plus costs $9.99/month in 2026, but Apple offers generous free trial options that make it easy to sample the service before committing. Between the standard 7-day trial, 3 months free with any new Apple device purchase, and inclusion in the Apple One bundle, Apple TV Plus is one of the more accessible streaming services to try without paying.

Standard 7-Day Free Trial

Apple TV Plus offers a 7-day free trial to new subscribers through the Apple TV app, accessible on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Samsung smart TVs, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV devices. Sign in with your Apple ID, select Apple TV Plus, and start the trial — no Apple device required. The trial gives full access to the complete Apple Originals library including Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, Prehistoric Planet, Slow Horses, and dozens of award-winning originals.

3 Months Free with New Apple Device Purchase

Any new iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or iPod touch purchase includes 3 months of Apple TV Plus at no charge. This offer activates through the Apple TV app on your new device and must be redeemed within 90 days of purchase. For anyone buying a new Apple device anyway, this is automatic added value — $30 in free streaming included. The offer is stackable if you purchase multiple new Apple devices, though Apple typically limits it to one active redemption per family.

Apple One Bundle

Apple One is Apple's all-in-one subscription bundle that includes Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+ storage in a single subscription starting at $21.95/month for individuals. If you're already paying for Apple Music separately ($10.99/month), Apple One Individual costs just $11 more and adds TV Plus, Arcade, and 50GB iCloud — essentially getting three additional services for $11/month above what you're already paying for Music alone.

• 7-day free trial — all new subscribers at tv.apple.com
• 3 months free with new iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV purchase
• Apple One bundle — Individual $21.95/month, Family $32.95/month
• Apple TV app available on non-Apple devices — Samsung, Roku, Fire TV
• Student discount through Apple Education store
• Redeem trial within 90 days of device purchase

Is Apple TV Plus Worth It?

Apple TV Plus has a smaller library than Netflix or Disney Plus, but focuses entirely on exclusive Apple Originals — no licensed content. The quality is consistently high: Severance won multiple Emmy awards, Ted Lasso became a cultural phenomenon, The Morning Show featured major Hollywood talent, and Prehistoric Planet showcased BBC Natural History Unit documentary excellence with Apple's production budget. If you prioritize quality over quantity, Apple TV Plus's originals library is genuinely exceptional.

At $9.99/month, Apple TV Plus is also the cheapest major streaming service — cheaper than Netflix, Disney Plus, Max, Peacock, and Paramount Plus. The 3-month device bundle and 7-day trial are both generous enough to assess whether the original content resonates with your taste before committing to ongoing payments.
