Free Denny's Birthday Meal 2026

Denny's has one of the most generous restaurant birthday programs available — loyalty members receive a free Grand Slam breakfast (a $12+ value) during their birthday month. The program is part of Denny's Rewards (formerly Denny's Insider), and signing up is free. Here's everything you need to know to claim your free birthday meal.

How to Get the Free Denny's Birthday Meal

Join Denny's Rewards through the Denny's app or at dennys.com/rewards. Add your birthdate to your profile — this is required for the birthday reward to activate. During your birthday month (not just your exact birthday), you'll receive a coupon for a free Build Your Own Grand Slam or equivalent breakfast item. The reward is available for dine-in and typically requires a minimum $2 beverage purchase. Make sure to join before your birthday month begins as the reward needs lead time to activate.

What's Included in the Free Birthday Meal

The Build Your Own Grand Slam includes your choice of 4 items from Denny's breakfast menu: options include buttermilk pancakes, eggs (any style), bacon strips, sausage links, hash browns, and grits. This is a complete breakfast worth $11-$13 at retail pricing. The free birthday reward applies to the entrée — beverages and additional items are charged separately. Tip and tax are still owed.

Denny's Rewards — Year-Round Benefits

Beyond the birthday meal, Denny's Rewards provides points on every visit and special offers including discounts, free items with purchase, and bonus point events. New members typically receive a welcome offer (often a free item with purchase) upon sign-up. The app also shows exclusive daily deals and limited-time menu offers. For regular Denny's visitors, the rewards program adds meaningful value throughout the year beyond just the birthday benefit.

• Valid during your entire birthday month, not just one day
• Requires $2 minimum beverage purchase

Tips for Maximizing Your Birthday Visit

Go during breakfast or brunch hours for the best experience — the Grand Slam is a breakfast item and Denny's breakfast quality is consistently the menu highlight. Bring a friend or family member who can order full price, making it a shared birthday outing. Stack with any Denny's Rewards bonus point events happening that week to earn points on your friend's purchase. Combine with Denny's current specials (typically advertised in the app) for a full birthday brunch experience with only beverages and any extras out of pocket.
